AMMONNEWS - Front seats at Burj Khalifa’s waterfront restaurants will cost Dubai diners a lot on New Year’s Eve where a spectacular fireworks show is set to take place at the world’s tallest building.

As more and more visitors pour into Dubai for its annual shopping season, Burj Khalifa promises a spectacular fireworks display, and the 2019 celebrations are said to be “bigger than ever,” a report by The National says.

With dozens of restaurants at The Dubai Mall and Souk Al Bahar overlooking Burj Khalifa and its stunning Dubai Dancing Fountain, a table at one of the waterfront restaurants will seemingly cost a lot, the newspaper says.

An outdoor seat at fast food chain Five Guys will for example cost 1,500 dirhams ($408) per person for the privilege of an outdoor seating. The offer comes with unlimited burgers, hotdogs, fries, milkshakes or sodas throughout the evening. But on an average day, the normal price of its burgers will range from 40 dirhams ($10).

At Tim Hortons, the multinational fast food restaurant known for its coffee and donuts, a seat beside the water will cost Dh2,000 ($ 544.4).

Italian restaurant Serafina will be charging 3,500 dirhams for a seat at its lower terrace overlooking the spectacular Burj Khalifa. For that price, diners will be offered a seven-course tasting menu and premium drinks.

Dubai has previously been ranked as the world’s most expensive city for New Year’s Eve, according to a 2016 report from Travelex, saying that an average person spending on this night would cost Dh2,200 ($598.9).
