Senate endorses 2018 Illicit Gains draft law

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Senate's Legal Committee on Sunday passed a bill amending the 2018 Illicit Gains Law, as referred to it by the Lower House.

During a session, the panel attributed the endorsement to the mandating reasons for the draft bill, which were to promote values of integrity and transparency, broaden the categories of persons subjected to the provisions of the draft law and enhance the efficiency of the financial disclosure department to enable it fulfill its role.

Attending the session were Minister of Justice Bassam Talhouni, Head of Legislation and Opinion Bureau Nofan Ajarmah and President of the Professional Associations Council Ibrahim Tarawneh.
