State Security Prosecutor concludes investigation into Salat terrorist cell case

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - State Security Court Prosecutor General, Military Judge Colonel Fawaz Al-Atoum, has completed the investigation into the case of the Salt terrorist cell, in which 14 people were detained.

The Prosecutor General charged the defendants with engaging in terrorist acts using weapons and explosive materials that resulted in the death of a person.

He also charged them with the manufacture, possession, transfer and sale of weapons with the intent to use them to carry out terrorist acts.

The defendants were also charged with providing funds to terrorist groups, plotting terrorist acts, promoting the ideology of a terrorist group, and joining armed groups and terrorist organizations.

According to the indictment, members of the cell planned to attack buses carrying members of the Armed Forces, security services and security patrols, the intelligence department of Salt and the governorate's headquarter.
