Jordan, US discuss trade cooperation

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Members of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Board on Friday, met with a delegation representing the EastWest Institute and discussed with them means to boost trade cooperation between Jordan and the Untied States.

Representative of information and communications technology at the JCC Mohammad Tahboub said the Free Trade Agreement between Jordan and the United States reflected positively on Jordan, and contributed to increasing the Kingdom's exports to the US market.

The JCC he said, contributed to efforts to develop trade and services and enhance cooperation with private sector institutions from various countries around the world.

Board Chairman of the EastWest Institute Ross Perot pointed to the strategic relations between Jordan and the United States, adding that the delegation's meeting with His Majesty King Abdullah II was positive and will contribute to further boosting relations with the Kingdom.

The EastWest Institute (EWI) was established in New York in 1980. It was originally known as the Institute for East-West Security Studies, is an international not-for-profit, non-partisan "think and do" tank focusing on international conflict resolution through a variety of means. The organization employs networks in political, military, and business establishments in the United States, Europe, and the former Soviet Union.
