Mohamed Salah wins PFA Player of the Year award

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah has been awarded the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Players' Player of the Year on Sunday after fending off competition from om Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

The Egypt international who plays for Liverpool matched the record of 31 goals for a 38-game top-flight season set by Alan Shearer (1995-96), Cristiano Ronaldo (2007-08) and Luis Suarez (2013-14) with three matches still to spare with a clever chipped finish on Saturday.

Liverpool have benefited from Salah's exploits with the club fighting to finish second in the league and also in contention to reach the Champions League final after drawing AS Roma in the semi-finals.
