Five sentenced to prison on terror charges

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The State Security Court’s (SSC) on Thursday handed jail sentences to five defendants over terror-related charges ranging between one and a half year to three years.

The court handed one defendant, a university student, a one and a half year prison term, commuted from three years for promoting the ideology of the Daesh terrorist group.

The verdicts were issues in a public session, held under presiding military judge, Col. Mohammad Afif, with civil judge Muntasir Obeidat and military judge Maj. Raed Safwan as members, and in the attendance of State Security Court Prosecutor, Capt. Mohammad Mahasneh.
