Army foils drug smuggling attempt from Syria

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Northern Military Zone, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department and the Public Security Department, late Wednesday foiled a smuggling attempt by two people, one armed, who tried to cross the border from Syria into the Kingdom, a military official said Thursday .

The official explained that the rules of engagement were applied, forcing the two infiltrators to flee back to Syria. After searching the area, the security personnel reportedly found 180,000 Captagon pills, and referred them to the concerned authorities, he added.
