Qudah said that the FTA between the two countries is one of the most successful agreements signed by Jordan, but focuses on textile and garments with exports reaching $1.4 billion. "Jordan is facing many challenges, mainly unemployment that stands at 15.6 percent, and we in the government work and believe that investing in the private sector is the way to address these challenges," Qudah added. He said the Kingdom suffers from a rise in the public debt that reaches 95 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), noting that the private sector can play a role in increasing growth to overcome the rise in debts.
