Panel holds meeting on Jordan-Japan Business Forum

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan Investment Commission convened its first meeting for a preparatory committee of the Jordan-Japan Business Forum slated for October 27 in the East Asian nation.

The meeting comes on the sideline of an official visit by HM King Abdullah II to Japan, where he is due to meet Emperor of Japan, Akihito, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and other senior officials.

In a statement released Wednesday, head of the commission,Thabet Al- wer, commended Japan's support to Jordan in all fields, particularly economic, investment and trade ones. He added that Jordan and Japan are bound by historic and deep-rooted ties.

The forum, Al- wer noted, will have three prominent topics to discuss which are related to investment climate and growth in the Kingdom, Jordan's strategic location as a hub for trade with Mena and European markets as well as the role of the Hashemite leadership which has laid the foundations of the state in all its aspects and maintained security and stability in a turmoil-hit region.
