Fakhoury: JD244 million is the value of projects being implemented in Aqaba

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A government team headed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury on Thursday reviewed progress of work in the 2016 Aqaba development program.

The minister outlined measures taken by the government to implement the program, adding that the value of government projects for public institutions in 2016 stands at JD244 million, including JD120 million for capital projects for ministries and JD114 million as allocations for capital projects in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, Aqaba Development Company and Aqaba Water Company.

Fakhoury also pointed to projects that have been implemented by the his ministry through the economic and social productivity program.

He said the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation had contacted the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) to finance the establishment of the Wadi Araba public hospital at a cost of JD25 million.
