Gov't condemns terrorist attack in France

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian government, on Tuesday, condemned as "despicable" the terrorist attack committed by the Daesh terrorist gang against a church, in a suburb of Rouen in northern France, and claimed the life of a priest and injured several others.

Minister of State for Media Affairs, Mohammad Al-Momani, said such despicable acts reflect the criminal ideology of this terrorist gang, and try to provoke sedition and spread chaos everywhere in this world.

He added that killing and terrorizing innocent people is a crime against humanity and "forbidden in our religion and other religions." He noted that such terrorist incidents underline the importance of concerted international community efforts against terrorism.

Al Momani offered the Jordanian government's condolences to the victim's families and the French government, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
