2,460 tourists visit Southern Mazar shrines in July

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The number of visitors to the shrines and tombs of Prophet Mohammad’s companions in the Southern Mazar District, 140 kilometers south of Amman, reached 2,460 in July, the Supervisor of the Shrines,Osama Al Tarawneh, said on Sunday.

The Shrines of the Prophet's Companions, in addition to the prevailing security and stability, helped the Kingdom attract local and international religious tourists, Al Tarawneh told Petra.

He added that work is underway to establish parks and connect the shines together with a total cost of JD 650,000 to provide more facilities to the visitors.
