Ensour said the plant is established for mere environmental purposes and will not generate any financial return, adding that the facility will spare citizens and local community decades-long suffering of environmental issues. Chief executive of the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company, Abdul Karim al-Alaween, said the new factory is part of a series of measures and projects the company is pursuing with a development and modernization drive.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, on Monday, launched a 16-million-euro sulfur factory designed to reduce sulfur dioxide emissions from the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company in the eastern Zarqa governorate.
