“Launching this League is closely aligned with our commitment to developing the sport and encouraging local youth to play rugby in a fun and safe environment. We are very proud of the high performance levels demonstrated by the participating teams throughout the League, which serves as testament to the significant advancement and promising future of the sport in Jordan. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish all the teams that qualified for the finals the best of luck in the upcoming matches,” commented Mohammad Al-Majed, Jordan Rugby Committee Member and Youth Development Head.

The sport of rugby has made tangible progress since its introduction in Jordan in 1997. In addition to the establishment of a national team, the Jordan Rugby Committee launched the international youth development program, Get into Rugby, at schools across Amman in 2014, providing them with specialized training opportunities and professional sports equipment. The program, which was implemented by the Jordan Rugby Committee, aims to attract new players, coaches and judges within the upcoming two years, in line with efforts to promote and advance the sport.
