A report by ESCWA, presented during a recent meeting in Amman, said that expatriates’ remittances totalled $3.7 billion in 2013, or 12 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Remittances by Jordanians recorded an increase of 50 percent over the past 10 years, according to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA).

A report by ESCWA, presented during a recent meeting in Amman, said that expatriates’ remittances totalled $3.7 billion in 2013, or 12 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The report indicated that the Kingdom ranked fourth after Egypt, Lebanon and Morocco in terms of expatriates' remittances.
