Iranian, Jordanian parliaments pave way for comprehensive ties

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The vice chairman of Iranian Parliament's Energy Commission said here Monday cooperation between Iranian and Jordanian parliamentary commissions will pave the way for boosting comprehensive bilateral relations.

Mohammad Sa'eid Ansari referred to the positive background of Tehran-Amman relations in his meeting with a visiting Jordanian parliamentarian, asking for restoration of the golden days of the two countries' ties, especially at parliamentary level.

He pointed to the abundance of capacities for further expansion of bilateral ties and cooperation, singling out the economic, oil and energy fields as the most appropriate areas for expansion of bilateral ties.

Ansari meanwhile announced Iran's readiness for broadening of cooperation between the two countries' parliamentary energy commissions.

The Jordanian parliament member, in the meeting, highlighted the regional influence of Iran, announcing Amman's willingness to promote relations with Iran, especially in the economic field.
Praising Iran's efforts to forge Islamic unity, he said that close and intimate ties between Shia and Sunni Muslims is a dire necessity today and of vital significance for the success of the Islamic world on the international scenes.
