Home Jordan News King visits King Abdullah II 3rd Armoured Division 01-09-2014 09:22 PM Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, visited on Monday the King Abdullah II 3rd Armoured Division where he was welcomed by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mashal Mohammad Al Zaben, and commander of the division. The King was briefed by the commander of the division on operational, training, logistical and technical issues, as well as combat preparedness of the formations and units of the division. His Majesty also opened the new building of the 5th Royal Tank Battalion which includes a number of administrative and technical facilities. He also attended a drill carried out by the 5th Royal Tank Battalion that reflected the distinguished level the units have reached. The exercise comes as part of the Armed Forces' strategy and their training and operational capabilities. On the sidelines of the visit, the King reviewed a number of modern vehicles that were recently introduced to the Armed Forces.
