King receives credentials of newly appointed ambassadors

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II received at the Basman Palace on Sunday the credentials of seven newly-appointed ambassadors to the Kingdom.

The ambassadors are: Anil Trigunayat of India, Zakri Jaafar of Malaysia, Mojtaba Ferdousi Pour of Iran, Alice Wells of US and non-resident ambassador of New Zealand Jonathan Andrew Curr.

Upon arrival at the Basman Palace, the King reviewed a guard of honor as a military band played the national anthem of Jordan and the ambassadors' countries.

The new envoys laid wreaths on the tombs of late King Hussein Bin Talal, King Abdullah Bin Al Hussein I, and King Talal Bin Abdullah.

The ceremony was attended by the Royal Court chief and the minister of foreign affairs and expatriate affairs.

Jordan enjoys close ties with the five countries and seeks to bolster these ties in various domains.
