AMMONNEWS - Jordan national football team goalie Amer Shafee' was admitted to a hospital in Amman on Monday after sustaining an injury during a game between his team, Wehdat, and rival team Al Ramtha.
Wehdat team president MP Tareq Khouri told Ammon News that Shafee' is recovering at the Specialty Hospital in Amman, and is expected to be discharged from the hospital later today.
Shafee' sustained an injury to the lower abdomen on Monday evening during a Wehdat-Ramtha Match, part of the Professional Football League held at Qweismeh stadium.
Shafee's was replaced by another goalie to resume the match.
Wehdat lost the match against Ramtha 1-4 in a match that ended with riots that required the intervention of anti-riot police to disperse crowds.
