Ammon News - AMMONNEWS-Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and official government spokesman Samih Maaytah on Monday called for putting the media house in order with a focus on training and rehabilitation of their staff.
Speaking during a Ramadan Iftar dinner hosted by the Jordanian Broadcasters Society JBS last night, the minister urged media outlets to benefit from existing numerous training centres to produce a distinguished and potent generation of journalists.
He said a recently launched national media strategy, blessed by His Majesty King Abdullah, would complement many efforts exerted in the field, praising the potentials of youth working in the sector.
The minister urged "the media house" to expand coordination with academic institutions, taking the JBS experience and exploiting the energies of veteran broadcasters.
