AMMONNEWS - Number of Islamists and activists on Friday marched in downtown Amman in a pro-reform demonstration organized by the Islamic movement.
The protestors chanted slogans against the parliament, election law, and government. blasting what they are considering rampant and endemic corruption.
They called for comprehensive reform and combating corruption.
The demonstrators commenced from the Grand Al Husseini Mosque towards Al Nakhil Square in Ras Al Ain.
Various opposition political parties, including leftist and islamist parties, and political activists and youth from throughout the kingdom took part in the protest.
The demonstration which called also reducing the recent hikes in commodity prices, with heavy security presence.
Several protests launched in other governorates, including Irbid and Salt, called for the same demands.
