290 Syrian Refugees flee to Jordan Thursday

AMMONNEWS - On Tuesday early in the morning, about 290 Syrian Refugees fled to Jordan illegally and reach the Northern border city of Ramtha.

Most of the refugees are women and children, sent by security apparatus to the UNHCR's office where after they registered their names and personal information, Syrian refugees told Ammon News reporter.

They were distributed to the Syrian refugees camps in Ramtha.

Jordan has granted refuge to over 140,000 Syrians since Damascus' launch of its military crackdown on pro-democracy protesters in March 2011.
