AMMONNEWS - Minister of Industry and Trade Shabib Ammari urged the Jordanian and Russian private sectors to set up joint projects and take advantage of the benefits and opportunities available for the two countries.
Addressing the opening of the Jordanian-Russian Business Forum on Monday, Ammari said that Jordan looks forward to enhancing economic, investment and trade relations with Russia.
Jordan, the minister said, is in a constant political and economic process to complete comprehensive reform.
He added that the Jordanian private sector works with a real partnership with the government, adding that it has realized tangible achievements which reflected on the national economy.
The Minister noted the financial and monetary stability in the Kingdom, which he considered as some of the basic features of the security and political stability, stressing that Jordan has started to overcome the difficult economic conditions.
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Maha Ali said trade relations between the two countries do not live up to the ambitions, noting that the volume of trade exchange between Jordan and Russia reached $264 million.
These facts, she said, require more efforts by public and private sectors in both countries to increase trade and investments in light of the special ties between them at all levels.
