AMMONNEWS - King Abdullah II will meet the lower House of Parliament members on next Wednesday, an informed source told Ammon News.

Two weeks ago, the King said parliamentary elections will be held before the end of this year, and made the remark during a short meeting with Lower House Speaker Abdul Karim Dughmi, members of the House's Permanent Bureau, and heads of the various parliamentary committees and blocs.

Meanwhile the government postponed the Municipal elections for more 6 months.

His majesty "publicly" asked the Parliament to take serious political reform steps, including a new election law, before new Lower House elections are held this year. But the present Low Lower House should be thanked for its great accomplishments: 1-- Salaries for eternity for the members of the lower house 2-- Diplomatic passports for the members of the parliament 3-- Other numerous benefits for the members 4-- The CLOSING of the CORRUPTION cases 5-- The 75 votes of confidence in the "government" after the mockery exchange of notes between Dughmi and Tarawneh making fun of the members...etc. Therefore, and as a thank you gesture for the "reform" steps taken by the Lower House, there should be NO election this year!
