Syrian refugees go on hunger strike over UNHCR lack of services

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS -A number of Syrian refugees in the northern city of Ramtha on Thursday went on hunger strike for the second time in protest of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) lack of services, strikers told Ammon News.


Refugees told Ammon News over the phone that they are suffering of lack of medical and basic services, diseases, and absent of clean places and equipment for living.

They also complained about not allowing the Palestinian - Syrian refugees to leave the complex on bail which is not convenient to live in.

Tens of thousands of Syrians fled to Jordan since the violence which erupted 12 months ago in Syria.
