JPA shows solidarity with Addustour’s employees

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS— The President of Jordan Press association ( JPA )Tareq Al-Momani expressed the association’s solidarity with Addustour’s journalists currently under threat of layoff.

“The association will not allow Addustour Newspaper administration to violate the rights of its employees ,adding that “ there has to be other options other than laying off dozens of journalists “Momani told Ammon News over the phone .

This came after a meeting held between the minister of Labour Atif Edibat ,and the council of the( JPA ) which was held Wednesday .

Momani described the meeting as "positive" and fruitful and assured that the minister is standing with the journalists to gain their rights .

Addustour Newspaper is currently undergoing restructuring process ,due to some losses in the revenues. According to (JPA),the restructuring process would affect tens of journalists and employees inside the company.
