Umniah Supports int@j’s Jordan Mobile Conference on Smartphone Technologies and Applications

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS – Umniah extended its support to and announced its participation in the Jordan Mobile Conference, organized by the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j), which was held on 19th March, 2012, at the Le Meridien Hotel, Amman.

The Conference shed light on the latest mobile technologies and trends such as digital content, media and much more. Participating in the Conference were a number of seasoned key-note speakers who discussed future trends and directions in relation to the growth of the industry and forecasted their impact on other sectors. Speakers also touched on several other topics including: The Changing Face of Digital Communication, Enabling Business Environments, Challenges of Mobile Apps, Accelerating Mobile Start-ups in Arabia and The Evolution of Mobile Games, amongst others.

The Conference is an invaluable opportunity to discuss the positive impact of mobile applications, which have become essential to the daily operations of individuals and businesses alike,” commented Umniah’s CEO Ihab Hinnawi.

In addition to providing the attendees with its premium Internet services, Umniah’s participation in the Conference also included a presentation conducted by the Company’s VAS & Data Manager Karim Zou'bi on mobile value-added services, its current directions in the local market and the role of telecom providers in developing mobile content.

He also focused on the future of mobile value-added services and the importance of handset features and fast Internet connection in pushing mobile content, in addition to the essential role of creative business models in allowing companies to gain a competitive edge in the market.

The Jordan Mobile Conference brought together experts and specialists from the mobile industry, who tackled pressing topics on mobiles, smartphones and mobile applications and content, in addition to m-government and m-commerce.
