Travel Ban, Asset Freeze against Ex-Intelligence Chief

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A travel ban was imposed on Wednesday against ex-chief of the General Intelligence Department (GID) Muhammad Dahabi after a case was filed against him by the Central Bank of Jordan.

Ammon News learned that the case was filed against Dahabi on Tuesday, prompting the public prosecutor to impose a travel ban on Dahabi and freeze his assets.

Sources close to the investigation said that the measures against Dahabi are related to suspected money laundering charges.

General Dahabi was GID director from 2005 to January 2008, when a royal decree replaced him with Gen. Muhammad Raqqad.
