Protesters burnt tires on the main highway and used rocks to block the road, Spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate Lt. Col. Muhammad Khatib said. A joint security mission was conducted by the Public Security Directorate and Gendarmerie forces, which led to the arrest of 25 suspects, and seizure of 14 stolen vehicles and quantities of illegal weapons and hand grenades.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Residents of Al Jafar district in the Southern Badia on Sunday blocked the main international highway near Al Azraq in protest of the security campaign launched by the Gendarmerie forces since early Sunday, which led to the arrest of 25 wanted individuals.

Protesters burnt tires on the main highway and used rocks to block the road, Spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate Lt. Col. Muhammad Khatib said.
