The voting took place during the 35th Session of the world heritage committee that was held in Paris today with the participation of a Jordanian delegation.

Official spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Mahmoud Al Kayed said the unified position of the Arab group at the UNESCO help in adopting the Jordanian and Arab decision, adding the Jordanian delegation made tremendous efforts with the Arab delegation to adopt the decision.

He expressed regret over failure to reach a consensus with some concerned parties due to the Israeli intransigence on items of the resolution related to unilateral Israeli measures on the ground and at the UNESO.
