AMMONNEWS - Hundreds of Jordanian activists, students, and Syrians residing in Jordan staged a protest on Sunday evening in front of the Syrian Embassy in Amman under the banner "Dignity and Pride for Syrian Freedom Martyrs."

Protestors chanted slogans in solidarity with the Syrian people's demands for freedom, and denounced the 'brutal crackdown on peaceful protestors' by Syrian security forces, according to their expression.

Sunday's protest is the third one in the past month to be staged in front of the Syrian Embassy in Amman, calling on Syrian authorities to lift the siege off the town of Deraa, and called on the international community to intervene to stop the 'massacres,' they said.

Protestors also expressed gratitude to the Jordanian citizens of the northern town of Ramtha for their solidarity stand with Deraa and providing help to those escaping the violence there.
