11 H1N1 virus cases registered, 2 related deaths

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Hisham Awartani - Minister of Health Dr. Mahmoud Sheyyab said that 11 cases of contracting the H1N1 virus (Swine Flu) were registered in the Kingdom until Saturday.
In statements to 'Ammon News,' the Minister added that the ministry's policy in handling the virus outbreak is based on transparency and full disclosure, noting that the Ministry of Health has taken all necessary preparations to manage dealing with the virus.
The number of cases of contracting the H1N1 virus remain at normal records compared to the same time last year, he added.
To that, the Health Ministry's Press spokesperson Hatem Al Azra'i said that the ministry is concerned not to stir people's fears about the virus, yet not undermining the seriousness of its spread.
Al Azra'i confirmed in statements to Ammon News on Saturday that 11 cases have so far been recorded in the kingdom, including two H1N1 virus-related fatalities, one in Mafraq and another in Zarqa this past week.
He added that two of the cases have been treated, while four patients remain in the hospital for treatment, and three others are being treated in-home.
He stressed that the rates of the spread of the virus this year is reassuring compared to last year.
