RJ Passengers Stranded in Brussels

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Royal Jordanian Flight No. 111 en route from Queen Alia International Airport to Heathrow International Airport in London was forced to land in Brussels airport Saturday morning as Heathrow closed because of bad weather conditions.
Flight 111 left Amman at 11 AM on Saturday, and resorted to landing in Brussels until weather conditions improve.
Jordanian passengers have been stranded at the airport since 5 PM Saturday Amman time in the Transit wing, authorities there could not allow them to leave the airport as many of them do not have a Schengen Visa.
Severe weather conditions and heavy snowfall caused major disruption of air travel across European airports.
More than 4,000 travelers were stranded in Brussels, Belgium in nearby hotels or in the airport halls after their flights were cancelled because of weather.
1500 travelers heading to the UK were re-routed to Brussels after Heathrow airport closed.
A spokesperson for Brussels Airport said on Sunday that travelers from all over the world were stranded there and do not have schengen visas to enter into the country.
