14-11-2010 12:00 AM

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The volume of text messages via mobile phones in Jordan exchanging Eid holiday greetings is expected to increase 4-5 times the volume on ordinary days, estimated at 6 million, to reach this holiday to nearly 30 million SMS's, telecommunications experts expect.

Yet, phone calls are not expected to increase as much as SMS's, reaching 30 percent increase on local phone calls, and 10 percent on international phone calls.

Social Holidays, including exchanging Eid holidays, witness increased usage of telecommunications, particularly mobile phones, causing mobile companies to evaluate their networks to prepare for the influx of demand, Addustour daily reported.
