Young man tries to commit suicide, husband kills man for flirting with wife

AMMONNEWS — Police on Monday thwarted a suicide attempt by a young man who was threatening to commit suicide by jumping from a high building near the Interior Ministry Circle. The police convinced the man to change his mind and not jump.
Also yesterday, a 30 year old man was killed in Marka.
The suicidal young man was driven to attempt to commit suicide by despair over failing to pass his tawjihi exam, which he has sat for several times. The 24 year old man, who works as a security gaurd at a public university, dreams of studying engineering at university, but cannot qualify to enroll at university without a tawjihi high school degree.
As for the killing of the 30 year old man in Marka, the crime was precipitated by a woman who had told her husband that a man, who lives in the same building, was calling her several times a day on her house phone and flirting with her.
The husband had then instructed his wife to invite the man to the house; when the man then entered the woman's home, her husband shot him down with a gun.
